Ana Mandara has been the hands-down winner for best lodging in Nha Trang since opening a decade ago (not counting the Hideaway, which isn't really in Nha Trang!). Its small size and intimate atmosphere appeal to those seeking a romantic getaway. Despite the recent building boom, its still the top choice for discerning travelers. Not surprisingly getting a reservation - particularly in high season - can be a challenge and we recommend booking well in advance.
A collection of villas in a lush, garden setting, the Ana Mandara boasts every amenity you'd expect from a luxury resort, including two infinity pools, private boat dock and long stretch of private beach - in fact, the Ana Mandara is the only lodging in Nha Trang on the beach. (Every other hotel is across the street from the beach.) In 2003 the Ana Mandara added their Six Senses spa, featuring indoor and outdoor treatment rooms in a lush tropical setting. Surrounded by waterfalls, tropical foliage and overlooking the beach, it's the perfect setting for a relaxing massage.
Separate villas are arranged in three rows between the main road and the beach. Each villa houses a handful of romantic guest rooms featuring a four-poster, queen-sized bed (or two twins) and a pleasant private patio. Garden villas are closest to the road and its accompanying noise. Sea view rooms are identical, except further from the road and with views. Sea view deluxe rooms offer more space and the four Ana Mandara suites add a luxury, Japanese-style bath and king-sized bed. For our money we'd go for the sea view or sea view deluxe.
