![]() AirDanang's airport is 5 minuted from downtown and 30 minutes from Hoi An. A metered taxi costs about US$3 to Danang. You can negotiate a fare to Hoi An for about US$15. There are daily flights to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and less frequent service to just about everywhere else Vietnam Airlines flies. TrainThose traveling by train will arrive at the Danang Train Station at the corner of Hai Phong and Hoang Hoa Tham streets. From there it's a short taxi or cyclo ride to downtown. Figure about US$2 for the former and US$1 for the latter. Beware! Train travel in Vietnam will try your patience and won't save you much money. The "express train" from Saigon to Danang takes about 24 hours; slightly less to Hanoi. The fare is about US$5 less than flying. (The exception is the 4-hour Danang-Hue express, which is the best way to get to Hue.) BusIf you're traveling by bus, you'll be lucky to arrive at all. Even
hard-core travelers who have done the bus scene in other developing countries
should think twice before getting on a bus here. Enough said. Return to Hoi An Traveler's GuideHome | This Month's Adventure | Travel Deals | Hotel Guide | Destinations | Getting There | Language & Culture | Contact Us©1997-2005 Multimedia By Design Inc. All Rights Reserved. |
