Before the building boom in Hoi An, the Furama was the only luxury game in town (or rather out of town!) While it is not particularly convenient to either Hoi An or Danang, it is central to both. We like it for its luxury resort ambiance. Our only complaint is the relative isolation; you have to drive everywhere.

The Furama is situated on a gorgeous white sand beach. The open-air main building houses a comfortable lobby, two restaurants and an exotic bar, complete with ceiling fans and a baby grand. Management is hoping to attract folks who want to explore central Vietnam's attractions on their own during the day, but still enjoy a comfortable room, swimming pool and litter-free beach (complete with lifeguards!) each afternoon.

The resort is a collection of attractive eight-room buildings surrounding a central garden lagoon. Tastefully-appointed rooms have a distinctly Asian flair, but with all the comforts of home. Each has a large private balcony. The ocean view is spectacular; the lagoon view isn't too shabby either.
